My first love
From an early age, I’ve had a love for writing – whether that be penning a short story at primary school or making up celebrity gossip for a magazine column on my Media Studies A Level course.
Not only did I enjoy it, I found I was pretty good at it, too. So I decided that was my calling.
It took heaps of perseverance but I’m proud to say I’ve spent my entire career doing the thing that I love.
There's no better feeling than using my skills as a writer to help someone else.
I honestly don’t know what else I’d do!
My expertise
I studied Journalism at the University of Lincoln and knew I wanted to continue it as a career when I graduated, ideally in magazine journalism.
I had visions of working at OK! or Vogue magazine. Needless to say that was far from the reality.
My big break came when I was offered a job as a reporter for a health and safety magazine. Oh, the glamour!
My expertise

Needless to say, my vision of going straight into a job at Vogue or OK! magazine was far from the reality.
My big break came when I was offered a job as a reporter for a health and safety magazine. Oh, the glamour!
I don’t want to show my age but I’ve been writing for a living since Rihanna offered us her umbrella and Leona’s love was bleeding!
In that time, I've written about all sorts - from product descriptions for an adult toy website to an interview with the health and safety minister for a B2B magazine.
I pride myself on my attention to detail and can spot a misplaced apostrophe from 200 yards.
I'm not saying I'm perfect but I'm certainly a perfectionist!
