Who I work with (and who I don't)

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm not the content writer for everyone. If you want a FinTech writer or someone to churn out in-depth articles about the state of the pharmaceutical industry, I'm probably not the one for you. I work with awesome mums in business - mums of little ones, mums of teenagers, mums of fur babies – to help make their lives easier when it comes to the content writing side of their business.

There could be a number of reasons why you’re thinking of hiring a content writer. It might be because you can never find the time, or perhaps you don’t feel confident about your writing abilities, or maybe you just don’t know what to say.

Why do I work with mums in business?

As a small business owner and mum myself, I know what it feels like to lack confidence and get the ick at the thought of self-promotion.

That’s why I’m passionate about helping other mums in business to promote themselves and grow their companies. I remember when I returned to work after maternity leave the first time. I felt like I was starting my career again from scratch because my confidence was so low. Similarly when I decided to become self-employed, I questioned if I could really do it and was petrified of failing. I still am. I’m learning to believe more in myself and my abilities. But even now, I often downplay my accomplishments and brush off any kind of praise. Sound familiar?

Helping you promote your business

The truth is, you’re hugely talented and in your field - that’s why you’re a business owner. But even if you get over the hurdle of fully believing that yourself, promoting your talents in your own marketing is different and feels alien. It’s totally understandable that self-promotion doesn’t come naturally to many of us, myself included. That’s why I’m here to take care of that side of things for you. I’ll bring your words to life on a page - be it blogs, social media posts, emails or web copy.

Creating more time for you

Let's face it, being a mum is one of the toughest jobs there is. And you don't even get paid for it! When you have a business to run on top of that, it becomes a major juggling act. Priorities get shifted, last-minute emergencies take precedence, and you soon find that quality ‘me time’ becomes a thing of the past. If you've ever found yourself saying "there just aren't enough hours in the day", I can help you regain some valuable time. I'll take care of your content writing needs so you can spend more time doing what you love - whether that's spending quality time with the family, focusing on other aspects of your business, or enjoying some much-needed me time. So if you're looking for a content writer and think I'm the one for you, drop me a message and let's chat. You can also book a free, 30-minute virtual cuppa.

Sharing parenting horror stories – optional.
